What is a custom modular home?It is a modular home built to your specifications. You choose everything from the floor plan to the kitchen cabinets to trim type and colors.
Why choose a modular home over a stick built?
Today's modular homes are built to strict specifications. There is quality control at every step. The homes are built inside a climate controlled facility and inspected at each phase. In order to enter the state of Maine they must have a seal that shows they meet Maine State Code. They follow the same standards as a stick built but they can be built much quicker. While the home is being built in the factory, Country Builders can be getting the site ready for your new home. Whereas it could take six months or more to complete a stick built, a modular home can be sitting on your home site in as a little six weeks.
How is Country Builders different from other Modular Home Dealers?
Unlike other dealers who sell the modular home to you than contract out the work to set up the home and finish it out, Country Builders provides all of the contractual work necessary to complete your modular home. Modular Home Dealers who contract out are not responsible for any of the contractual work leaving you to deal with multiple contractors. When you buy from Country Builders, we are the only contractor you have to deal with and we stand behind our work.

What building codes do you follow?
Country Builders follows the International Residential Code for 1-2 family dwellings from the International Code Council. We also follow the codes enforced by your local community and the State of Maine. With over 35 years of experience, Country Builders is familiar with the codes of many of the towns and cities in Eastern Maine.
Can I have my house stick built by your company?
Yes, we can stick build your home. You can provide your own plans or use an existing plan. We can even modify a modular home plan and build it to your specifications.
